Alright, so I've been looking at Parkour recently. I have been reading what it's all about and watched some videos. Im really interested but I have no experience in gymnastics or any martial arts. I can't even do a flip that I know of and Im not exactly a strong guy. I was wondering if it were still possable for me to do this? And if so, if I could have someone teach me? Because I wan't to know everything. If it is possable then I live in Westminster, CO. My aim is SkyDawg87 and my msn is Gangen87@hotmail.com. If you can help.........thanks a lot! Sky

Welcome to COPK! I had no gymnastics or martial arts experience either. It certainly can make things easier to pick up at first, but it is definately no requirement. Anyone who puts in the time and effort can become good at parkour. I think there might be some others in westminster. Check out the contact thread at the top of this forum and feel free to add your info.

If you want, you can come check out the jam tomorrow in Denver (more info is in the jam section of the forum). It seems like there will be a pretty wide range of skill levels there, and you'll probably be able to start learning a few things.

Yo, welcome to da club . It's awesome how many new people we're getting in CO. Anyway, I never had any gymnastics or martial arts training either, and well I guess I'm doing alright for going on 6 months WOOOOT! Like Demon said, anyone that puts time and effort (and determination) into parkour has the potential to be amazing .

I can't find the info for the Jam today. Could someone hurry and help me so I might be able to make it. If I can't will someone or a group meet me somewhere sometime and show me the ropes? I would really appreciate it.

Ok so my alarms went off like usual. I turned them of without knowing like usual. I wake up, see my clock and kill myself...........like usual. I hope to god someone made a video or I may have to go get the gun . So is anyone up for meeting a complete stranger and teaching him? Don't worry, it won't be a dark alley or graveyard.

Absolutely, though I'm not sure I'd be the best to teach . I don't know exactly where Westminister is, but you might want to go get some help from the Denver guys. They have more people with more experience , but if you're ever down in the Springs we would be glad to show you some stuff.

Sure, if you want to you could just join our weekly gym jam at art sports. Then if the weather is nice we could hit up garden of the gods or tiffany square. Where is westminister anyway?

Oh, well if you're in Denver you should try and do some stuff with those guys. We're down in the Springs, so if you wanted to join us you are totally welcome to, but it is about an hour away ya know. The gym is pretty pricy, it's 7 dollars for an hour and 15 mins , but it's the best thing we've got down here.
