So I made a map on Frappr here:  http://www.frappr.com/?a=constellation_map&mapid=137440600970

You can go there and add yourself to the map with your name and a photo (if you wish).  I thought that if everyone from APK added themselves to the map we'd have sort of an American Traceur Locating system, whereby we would know how many APK community members live in each state, who is nearest to you, where the greatest concentrations of traceurs are in the country, etc.

*EDIT*

Apparently I'm behind the times.  This has already been done, so you can go http://www.frappr.com/ustraceurs to find the more comprehensive version!  Enjoy!

Haha, actually we made one of these a LONG time ago...

That eventually turned into the APK Map which was built right into APK and used your profile info to place you on the map, then that broke because we had too many members! And that was the end.

What do you think about redirecting people to the old one, since it already has like 3 times as many people as this one?

Yeah, it really only works for smaller numbers like local communities.  At some point, it'll crash on you.  The PKNA map deletes aynone who hasn't visited the site in two weeks or something, so it's not terribly useful, but it doesn't bust up on you.  The APK map was how I first got into contact with Leon. Aww, and I thought I was being all original too!  Tongue

I just added myself to the other one, I'll go ahead and include it in the original post.  Thanks!

Wow, from the looks of things, there is absolutely no one in new york state, sad really. It seems like my family are the only traceurs here

We should do something on google maps like they did for CF affiliates.
