I work literally 50 feet from the studio where G.I. Joe is currently being filmed. How about I break in and give that Tatum fellow a piece of our minds?  Grin

Edit: changed opinion a little after reading the article instead of relying on imdb's plot line.

This kinda cross threads lol, if we have a demonstration of parkour at the Olympics by David Belle (which he wants to do apparently) then this would definitely help enlighten people about parkour and the movie(if negative) wouldn't have nearly as bad of a bad impact as it would otherwise.

never underestimate the power of mass media to influence an impressionable public opinion, especially regarding a topic they had no opinion about to begin with.  people will remember much more of the negative stuff than the positive.  many good ideas of how to counteract this have already been shared here.  the only one i would add would be to consider contacting news agencies about this as the release date draws nearer.  if it's the public image of Parkour you're after defending, fight fire with fire.  use the media.  get interviews, articles, etc.  news guys love a good story of controvery.  just hope you get their sympathy and they don't twist your words...

Belle wants to be in the olympics?

heres the thread: http://www.americanparkour.com/smf/index.php?topic=9881.0

2 quotes from the thread.

I heard from TK17 that Belle wants PK in the Olympics.

To respond slightly more clearly to Ozzi's "bomb" -

David Belle has said he would like to see Parkour in the Olympics as a demonstration, not as an event.

p.s. lets try to keep the thread on topic and not have this turn into another olympic/competition debate.

Or just ignore it. That seems to be the better thing to do in my opinion. I don't care if people look at me like I'm crazy when I train.

I don't want to see no jumping signs, and I don't want people thinking I'm training to trespass or steal from them.
Truth. That's the big thing i'll be afraid of it's exposed like this

That seems a little slippery slope to me.
