Today we did the pacer test. Cones are set up across the width of the basketball court in the gym (don't know the distance) and there's a CD that counts the times that you've run accross (round trip counts as 2). It starts slow and every so often it gets progressively faster. In October I did 45 I think. Today I did 50. That ended up being about 7 or 8 minutes of running total.

Time for some introspection/assessment...

Parkour-specific goals
-broad jump 8' (baseline = 4'11") - Haven't tried specifically lately, but my squats and lunges have improved.
-silent drops (baseline = successful from 0 height/just jumping straight up) - No improvement; haven't been training them.
-<7 min. mile (baseline = 8:24) - Haven't run recently. The best was 8:22 back in October. Given my improvement in the pacer test, I assume to have improved my 1 mile ability.
-wall run 14’ vertical (baseline = 8') - No opportunity to test recently, but I had an epiphany. I hadn't previously understood that the contact patch of your foot rolls from the ball up to your toe as you transition from horizontal to vertical movement. I was just trying to "step" on the wall at a 45 degree angle as consistently as I could. With more practice for technique and improvment in squats, I should start seeing improvement in this area.
-1 muscle-up - I'm up to a max of at least 13 chin/pull-ups and probably that many dips. Will try a muscle-up again soon.
-pop vault - I can do it from a cat leap hang, but not if I start with a wall run.
-underbars through a 2' hole - Haven't tested baseline yet.
-double-kong a picnic table (baseline = can monkey width, but not consistently) - No improvement.

Tricking goals
-standing front tuck - No progress.
-back tuck - No progress.
-flag pole - No progress.
-30sec handstand (baseline = 5 sec. max, not consistently) - New max of 10 sec. Twice, but not consistently in the interim.

Conditioning goals These 1RM stats are from 3-4 weeks ago. Haven't maxed since. Body weight has increased from 130 to 141 between August and now.
-squat 2x body weight (baseline = 175lbs w/ help to not fall backwards the whole time) - 185lbs in proper form
-bench press 2x body weight (baseline = 120lbs) - 140lbs
-power clean 1x body weight (baseline = 45lbs) - 90lbs
-dead lift 2x body weight (baseline = 225lbs) - 245lbs

Other goals
-unconsciously avoid slouching - I am aware of making corrections to my posture more often. I think correcting is becoming unconscious, but I am far from not slouching at all. I slouch the least when I'm walking or running, the most when I'm sitting. Standing is hit or miss, but I slouch more often than not.
-add 30lbs of upperbody muscle - Don't have a benchline for upper arm or chest measurements. As noted above, I've gained roughly 10lbs since August. I think perhaps 3lbs is fat that I didn't have before. Don't have accurate methods of measurement though.
