so if you were to run the 50 yard dash, you'd start with a dive roll?

I hate to be persistent on this, but you've presented it as good advice to a beginner, so I want to be clear on it.

no, I mean I use it in the same way as one would use a springboard to get over something. It may not mkae much sense, but thats what it seems like to me..

OK. In the interest of being helpful to people on the board though, please consider how what you say will come across, especially when it is advice to a new person. It seems to me that even some fairly experienced people here can't figure out what you're talking about ( Smiley ) so I can't imagine it makes good advice for someone just starting out Smiley

No offense meant here, and no harsh tone, just asking you to be careful (all of us should be mindful) of advice we give to new people Smiley
