I was looking at the national jams section when i see Texas is going to have a Huge jam and it is going to be in july. Knowing i wont be able to do anything like this out of colorado, i started thinking. Grin

i started thinking about the idea of us hosting a HUGE, freakin.... GIANT nation wide Jam in the summer. That way, all the people like me, who wont be able to leave colorado for a long time to go to a crazy huge jam would still be able to be a part of one. We could all chip in or get somebody to do a crazy video of it all too. And we could tell news papers and news stations about it to in case they wanted to do a story. We have to just, like plan out everything. I'm not talkin about those jams that we have once a month or so in Denver where locals only come. I am talking about a big, giant, huge, deal that everyone will know about. It would probably be really hard to get all the places for sleeping and stuff but i will do whatever i can to help in any way.  Anybody's comments/criticisms/input on this would be really nice.  It might sound crazy (and i am guessing it probably does to everyone) but i think if we really try hard enough that we could make this happen. Now, i don't know if i am remembering everything, and i am sure i am forgeting some "minor" details on how to make this all work.  If this sounds like something you wouldn't be interested in, please don't roll your eyes and not comment on the idea, post about why this isn't really your "cup of tea" (quote from my grandma lol). Tongue.

YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE!!! !  Smiley

the texas jam wont be that big. the big national jams are big because they are on the east coast where most people are a lot closer to NYC, DC, and toronto. I highly doubt there would be very many out of staters that would come to denver for a national gathering. even though most out of staters like CO better than anywhere else for pk, i just dont think it would happen. but with that said, ive already been thinking about a bigger "four corners" jam for the summer. like az, nm, ut, co....even that may be hard to get a significant out of state representation.

True.  The jam is not going to pull in that many people.  Although we have already had almost 20 people RSVP for the JAM.  So it is growing.  It would be like 50 people or anything but I think it is a jam worth going to.  Carpooling is always great and you can pick up people along the way that might want to go and give you gas money.  Colorodo is really not that far away from the jam.  Granted it would take you about 12 hours to get here...it would be an experience though.  You would get to see the crazy Texas guys and show them up or...not?

Maybe we could make it a mid-west thing ( i know texas is more of a south state, but still ). Like post a thing where we plan our jam 2 days after theirs, so anybody driving to texas could probably drive up here and then jam in a day. We could call it the Coxes jam.... actually nevermind that idea, lol. I think if we make it seem like one thing, that more people will come. Comments?

Ohhhh, is that a challenge! Shocked  I know I probably wouldn't be able to show you up, but there are a lot of people up here that could Wink.  I don't know, I might try and make it down to Texas (if we're not doing anything), but there is one drawback, it's Texas Shocked.  And who really want to go to Texas Wink.  Well I think it would be great fun to have a big jam up in  Denver, some of the Utah boys said they would come and thats a start.

Ya know, it would be really awesome if we could host a world wide jam in Denver.  That way David Belle and Seb and all the rest of those wierd Europeans could come! Cheesy  I think I'm probably dreaming too much though Wink

I'm also up for just a mid-west jam Smiley

Yeah, being in the big open midwest is the obstacle, although the fact remains Colorado is one of the the top pk spots in America and as it stands, as far as I understand it is the best thing from the general east coast to California.

Maybe when the rest of the midwest catches up with us (number-wise) we could have a midwest jam but I wouldn't expect anyone to drive all the way across the nation to get here, no matter how magical it is.

I knew you would like it. Wink. i can hear myself say it as i read it, lol.

I know what you are saying about how the mid-west is kind of far away from the east coast and everything, but i was saying we could plan ours around the time of the Texas jam, and they already have 50 RSVPs and i bet more would come if they knew it was some huge mid-west thing. And apparently the boys from Utah said they would come too so thats adding up pretty fast.

Oh, and just a little FYI to all the springs guys. The guy that we see at the gym that is about our age is gay. So don't let him spot you or anything. Wink

And MLW if that is some kind of challenge then you just wait. Wink lol.

he said 20, not 50...i wouldnt expect any of those people to come here right after a texas jam. texas is freakin far from here. its good enthusiasm you have but you are assuming too much isnt very probable or practical.

Its true.  Texas is a far trip but you got to realize that it will be worth it.  I think if you guys can come up with the time to do it...the money wont be to much of an option.  It should only take about 150$ for a group of 5 to come down.  So really thats only 30$ a person.  I dont think that is to big of a deal.  Although, I undertand it is a far drive.  Texas WILL come to you at SOME POINT because we believe that everyone should branch out.  Heck we have a semi reginal tour on our hands (just in Texas) San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, fortworth, Austin tour.

Oh...and yea...that was a challange...Ill pull out some Double Duce Action! (strongbad)
