Hello everyone, I'm new to parkour and I am 6'1 heigh. Some of my friends say that I won't be able to do frony flips and backflips as well as them because I am too high. Is this true?

Completely false.
Willgrind747 is like 7 feet tall and he can trick far better than I can. (I'm 5' 6" ish.)
It might be harder for you to get the technique but it's all a matter of determination. Just means you'll to try a wee-bit harder than they will. Nothing you can't overcome though.
