"I live outside the box"

Well, I've been thinking......again  Smiley.  I began to realize how much my aspect on life has changed since I discovered parkour.  I now see things as I believe they were meant to be seen.  No limits, no rules, nothing to hold you back except your own mind.  Sure you need to train your body up to be able to handle physical aspect of parkour, but I'm pretty sure that parkour is about 85% mental.  Once you have control of the mental aspect your potential is almost limitless.  In my mind I think that nothing is impossible, impossible is just a word that was made up by people not willing to try.  I believe that a person can achieve almost anything if they really set their heart to it.  Now by anything I don't mean flying off into the sun for the fun of it, I mean accomplishing things that seem totally "impossible".  If you went up to the stupidest slacker that you know of and told them they had the potential to be president someday then they just might make it there.  It is extremely difficult to achieve this mentality, but I know that it is possible with the right support and mindset.   I know that at least for me this is the main thing that keeps me from doing anything remotely crazy.  Someday I hope to gain this mentality, then who knows what I'll be capable of accomplishing  Wink (maybe even a 50 foot roof gap Cheesy).

"The mind is the largest challenge you will ever find"

I hope this made sense, I always have trouble saying what is in my mind, so I hope that whatever I was trying to say got through.  (If you hadn't guessed by now, I love discussing and thinking about the deeper side of whatever I come across, especially parkour Wink)

It made sense, it's very inspiring. I think Parkour is a pathway for many people to start thinking more like this!!

Yeah i know what you mean, I have a friend who is kind of a slacker, but has the potential to make something for himself. His problem is that he is blinded by what people make him out to be: a slacker. If people continue to say you are a slacker than after a while you yourself begin to believe it as well. Its a hard habit to break, but when you do its like you said, nothings impossible. I was thinking of the quotes i know and this one applies nicely i think: "Shoot for the moon, even if you miss you will land among the stars"

wow. i just started doing pk and i cannot explain how much it has changed my perception of obsticles. its such a great feeling to be walking around with friends and just think to yourself "i could vault that". plus this whole concept of fluidity and grace has really given me a new mindset to everything i do. and finally, at age 15, i have found something that really interests me.

Well also not methphorically speaking parkour is great for motivation because there is no middle men to deal with. Its up to you to make yourself great. If you want to be better, train harder, If you want to last longer, then train smarter.

You get what you put in, which is pretty much the case with life. For the most part.
