Hello all,

Background: My school performs an annual production called, "Dance Theatre." I'm not much of the dancing type, but I've been involved for three years now. I've gotten to know the leaders/choreographers well, and this year I decided to ask about including PK/FR. They are interested and said that they will take care of it. I'm really excited.  Wink

I'm posting in order to get advice/tips/etc regarding live performances. I have stage experience, but none including Parkour/Freerunning. I would like any of you who have experience performing [especially you Tribe guys] to help me out with what to do and not to do. It's is still in development, so I have a large say in what happens.

Thanks guys!

I'm leaving on a pretty long trip today for PK work stuff (19 days)- but send me an email with more details of what you would be allowed to do and I'll send you some set design and choreography ideas. Let me know more about your school and more about the performance team.

Im leaving for a performance next week, and all I have to advise is to plan out your routes when you have the set design (not necessarily a completed set, but the general Idea of what it looks like). Take that route home and study it, go through it in your head several times a night, and when you finally get to practice it on set, you have a great idea of what has to happen in the performance. Now you have to physically run through it MANY times to get it down right.

With live performances, there isnt a whole lot of "I'll just wing it" possible, so you have to be sure. However, if you do happen to mess up, you can use what you know to recuperate and continue (just dont let it go to your head, be ready for it). If you practice it a lot, you should be ok and dont psyche yourself out. Hope any of this helped.

Good luck!
