it's really what you make it, like we don't all do it for the same reason, so find your purpose. (sp?)

I really like running shoes too they are much lighter than many other shoes but dont give you quite as much grip when running up walls. There are also the parkour and freerunning specific shoes I have never used them but they seem to be good. Here is a thread about the shoes that reviews most of them http://www.americanparkour.com/smf/index.php?topic=5649.msg67323 if you are interested

I like athletic shoes, like running shoes to be specific. Lightweight, good tread, comfortable, flexible, fits the foot well, etc..

Yes, probably the best, least expensive shoes that are the best for Parkour are any asics running shoes that have good grip and they are great to make the shock on the feet less. Also they have great stability for that rocky, irregular terrain out in Iran. Grin

Iran's landscape looks really cool. That would be such an awesome place to do some rural training. Even just to go hiking looks like it would be fun.

As for Asics shoes, I love them. They are form-fitting, lightweight and comfortable.

If you get confused, watch the movies.

Also, Welcome! Iran looks beautiful.
