I am curious to know other traceur's capabilities in some of the most relevant fitness exercises to parkour. So if you want to know how you stack up to others, post up your info. I hope everyone who uses this will post honest and accurate info. Otherwise, you aren't helping anyone else and you definately aren't helping yourself! I hope this will become a good archive of people's abilities, progression, and also a good tool to assess your weaknesses and motivate you to improve.

Age - 18
Height - 5 ft. 9 in.
Weight - 145 lbs.
Max Pull Up reps (lowering down to straight arms, pull up to chin over bar, including kipping) - 27
Max Handstand Push up reps (against wall, full extension, touch forehead to ground) - 15
Broad Jump (measure from tip of toes at starting to the farthest back point of contact upon landing) - 8 ft. 8 in.

Some other good exercises to measure could include (I have no current or recent personal data for these):

Max Pistol reps, Mile Run, 40 yd. dash, Square agility drill

is this done by itself or after a workout? because they will greatly differ in either direction depending when you do them.

these are like your current personal records. doing it at the end of a workout isnt going to be the best you are capable of.

just set a new PR for pullups at 27.

matthew - i dont see how kipping could make a difference of 22 reps? kipping will get me more reps but not THAT much more.

dude. staight out just long hang pull ups...those are hard.  You know where you lower all the way down wait like a sec and then go again.  I went back and check though...I can do 15 of those my bad.

If I cam just plopping down and kipping all over the place its so much easier.  My legs or arched back and all that do most of the work. So yea.  32 and I almost died.

That is a huge discrepency...straight, dead-hang pullups I can hit around 22-25 depending on the day. Kipping, I top out around 31-33 before my grip gives out...

I dont know what to tell you besides that the deal.  I do use the mens High Bar when doing that Kipping acting.  It has lots of spring to it if you kip right.

I was just wondering what kipping is? Is it when you lift your legs up or something?

yea it like when you do a little jerk so that you can get over the enitial pull from way down low.  You can use your legs...in like a ARCH then hallow action then you pull your Toes up a little to get lift.
