Hey everyone! I have been doing a little bit of gymnastics for a little less than a year now. I have been interested in trying Parkour/Free Running out for a while but I have no one to teach me or to just play around with. Are there any other women out in the Denver area that I could hang out with sometime? Thanks!

We've had quite a few women take part in our classes here in Boulder. Unfortunately, I don't really know of any women in Denver that are all that active.

I've been trying to get one of my friends into it, but she's been focusing on rock climbing as of late.
But by all means, come out and jam with the Denver crowd. I'll be down next Wednesday, probably around 2. It's always better running with someone else.

I've had alot of trouble getting the girls I know into parkour, they all think that it's too hardcore for them to learn or they think that they aren't athletic enough, lol not even the girls that do all kinds of sports.

Ahh, well thanks everyone for your posts, information, etc. It's too bad there aren't that many other women involved in this sport...

I hope you aren't giving up already. Here in Boulder we have 1 dedicated female traceuse and 1 budding traceuse( I hope, brenda).

Well, I mean...I don't have a car so it takes me a total of two hours to get to Boulder by RTD plus I'm at school everyday for at least 6 hours...yeah it's a dilemma for me...

Once my schedule cools down, I'm hoping to get Mrs. Monkey to go hit Cat Fountain once a week... We'll let you know what day/time

Dude... Colorado has one of the biggest scenes in the country... You can probably thank Ryan and Matt's classes for spreading it across the state...

Wow thats amazing... I started a long time ago after I watched some videos. But I never looked for some forums and mostly did parkour solo.

Well, maybe the Gym Riki classes aren't too far away from you, it's about I-25 and Hampden. In any case, YOU can kickstart the female scene for the women like you who will come later. It has to start with someone. In the meantime, us boys aren't so bad to be around.

Jake can be a little weird -- but most people get used to him pretty quickly... Although, he has made me weary/excited for a Zombie Apocalypse...
