What: Gauntlet Nights When: Every Thursday at 4 PM Where: Meet at the CU Engineering Center courtyard directly adjacent to Regent Drive. As an effort to increase the fitness of myself and the rest of the local parkour community, I want to start weekly Gauntlet nights at CU Boulder. For those of you who don't know what a Gauntlet is, read here: http://www.americanparkour.com/content/view/1130/2/. The parkour community as a whole is greatly unprepared from a physical fitness standpoint, and we all need to get out and work harder to become strong enough to endure the stresses that parkour puts on our bodies. I strongly encourage everyone to attend these Gauntlets if they can. Or start up your own Gauntlet night in your area. I hope that people will join me in these greatly beneficial workouts.

The first Gauntlet was good. Carolynn, Andy, and myself all showed which means everyone else in Boulder who didn't show is a slacker. I had no energy and slacked a little but I am still pretty sore. Carolynn did well for trying all that stuff for the first time. Andy pretty much owned me in everything. We didn't do the full Gauntlet...about 75% of it. But that's ok, its supposed to get gradually harder anyway. Those of you who didn't show, I hope to see you out there next week.

Good job tonight! We stepped it up a little bit. Andy, Carolynn, and Jim showed up. The rest of you guys are slackers.

It is still on but I also wont be there tonight. I am forcing myself to take another day off to heal up a little bit. I think Andy and Jim will probably be there though.
