I was planning on doing the exact same thing for starting my club, finding a sponser teacher (required here also) and using a video advertisement. I agree, our videos will have to show fun looking runs, and what parkour is. I don't think there's a great need to go to in-depth into what is and isn't parkour in a club advertisement, just say a brief, understandable definition of what it is and maybe a few basic priniciples. If you wanna debate what is and isn't, you can do that in the club. And its obviously gotta be an exciting video. I think the most important thing to show is how easily one can go anywhere with parkour and overcome obstacles u wouldn't think of overcoming normally at speed.

I was wall running and I was almost up when this teacher came walking and said, "I don't think that's a good idea." So then I tried to get up the wall and was having a bit of trouble since he startled me. So then he repeats, "I don't think that's a good idea." So I just drop down because the idiot wouldn't leave me alone.

A lot of teachers don't like Parkour because they think it's an extreme sport and people will hurt themselves. People will only hurt themselves if they don't know what they're doing.

Nah, we would only get a warning.  Unless we broke something, and if you know anything about parkour you should know how to do a move without breaking anything Wink

Hey when I first saw this topic I thought it meant parkour during school or within those lines but I just thought of something. Everywhere I train is on school grounds, the sport fields, equipment buildings, recreational things like playground and pavilion, even the church behind the school is actually on school grounds. So I do parkour all the time at school, cool. But besides that I have done parkour in school such as from one floor to the next as a Kong over the stair railing to the other stair level, monkeys onto the stage, a little bit of wallspins, and konging the big tables in the lunch room. Sweet

Ehhh this topic....

I used to do parkour all over the place at my school, then one day the dean of students saw me jumping off the roof and thought i was crazy so he brought me into his office and said, "I have no idea what punishement i'm going to give you because this isnt even in the handbook..."

so he almost suspended me, ended up giving me a saturday detention and told me never to do it again.

did i listen? No. I still do pk there. Now he admires me though because he knows what im doing
(and i keep off the roofs haha_)

LoL I think if they actually could catch me I would get suspended but that wont happen,  Grin. I do jump off of the roof at school all the time because everyone asks me to lol, so I do it, just like that weed commercial.
At first nobody even knew I did parkour and a kid at my school was talking about jumping off of the school roof and that you would die so he dared me to and I did it and now everyone wants to see the amazing Flipps jump off of the roof lol. They still don't know I do parkour, but I just bought a few shirts so they will know soon enough.  Wink

BTW: LeoNn, you should get your face stenciled too, just look at your avatar Tongue. Ha
