I've been having pain in my outer forearm for about a couple weeks, from just above the elbow to about halfway up the forearm.  I used to have shin splints, and it feels similar to that, only in the arm.  Smiley  Pain occurs after i do anything that places strain on the forearm muscles-  pullups, vaults, etc.   I believe i got this from doing pullups on this ledge above a doorway in my house. My forarms rest oddly against the doorway moulding when doing pullups there.
could it be something like tennis elbow?  any ideas?
     suggestions on how to treat?
the pain isn't that bad, and i could keep training on it, but i don't want to make it worse.

One thing it may be (but dont trust me until you get it checked out, just something to think about) is it could be some form of tendonitis. If it gets any worse or the pain doesnt go away for a while, I'd say go to the doctor and have them take some X-rays. but if it somehow goes away on its own, just be carful in the future because you will most likely to be susceptible to getting whatever it was again. So just keep a good eye on it.

Doubtful it's forearm splints or any other overuse conditiong... probably just your forearms getting angry from friction irritation. I used to wear a watch and that happened so I had to stop wearing one. Take a break from that and try to find a better place to do pullups and see if it helps.
