I'm an Aussie from the UF days, but only 2 years of UF days. Pretty much New Years 2005 I signed up.

Whiteninja, you will benefit out of coming and training with a group on easily-scaleable obstacles no matter what your current skill-level.
I'd prefer to not come there and be a complete novice, but I would like to do some training in a controlled environment.

Who cares if you are novice. the point of coming is to LEARN. you cant learn if you already know everything... therefore, everyone who doesnt know everything is a novice.

Come to train, not to look good Wink

+1 karma for your sig too, ninja

I think i may have to come down to DC and check this out. Is it structred like the workshops in NYC, or is it more of a free gym with expirenced people as supervisors?

Well, a bit of both actually .. it is not as sequential as the NY sessions, as we have people of all different abilities at all times, and we are able to meet those by scaling drills and exercises that will help new people to learn while challenging more experienced people to continually push their boundaries. Also, it is more flexible, as we own the space, we can do whatever we want, climbing up walls, swinging on ropes to catleaps, moving stuff in an infinite array of obstacles to create or recreate just about any environment we want. We dont have the uber-cool moving trusses that STREB does though, and not quite as high ceilings either!

You should thow lock-ins.  Just have them bring a sleepingbag and a pillow.  Start it at 6pm and have it so it ends at 10 am and have sessons all night till you crash out on the floor.
