The reason he said that is because he got alot of shit from .net for using the term parkour and freerunnning interchangebly.
I belive it was this thread which was the reason he stoped using parkour.

I think it's a division that he wanted... because he has his definition of what he practices, which is certainly different from David Belle's... And if they don't want to tread the other's ground, then it's absolutely necessary. "Parkour" is a term taht David Belle came up with without Sebastien's help.. He did it with Hubert Koundé, so Foucan doesn't have a claim to it. However, "freerunning" was created for him and it works well enough. If he's accepted the difference, what does it matter?
