I really seem to have a problem finding places to train that are private enough.
Maybe i'm embarrased or something, or maybe i just don't want to answer questions... but i have a hard time when people are walking by and stuff.   anybody identify?
so usually i just practace WAY up at the top of this park where nobody goes.  There is only a picnic table and some good rocks.  at least my kongs are improving  Smiley

I think alot of us have this problem.

Alot of people I train with will even stop what thier doing when a car comes by or theres some one at a window

I have grown comfortale with people watching me train or thinking I'm a loon.

It's just something to get used to and as parkour catches on we will look less like idiots Tongue

it all depends who is watching.
i.e. i was running at a mall and I was sprinting down a side walk and turning heads then a i got to a wall climbed guy in the parking lot almost stopped his truck and just kinda' looked confused. then i kept going a nd got to an area outside were a store had put up an eating area outside so i semi pop vaulted the fence and kept going i was not interupting or any thing but i just kept running but they must have been thinking what was that?
so unless they r cops or people i will see again i don't care too much.

Get someone to train with you. The more the better. It always makes me feel more comfortable when there is a group of us, it takes all of the focus off of any single person and it seems like people think you are less crazy when they see more people into what you are doing.

I as well do alot of training privately. A long time ago i made a transition to doing parkour mainly in nature. It's much more private. Noone to say anything. And just as fun. (more in my opinion). I seriously advise you try going out into some woods (or whatever natural landscpae you have around you) And try running. Trust me, it's fun.

Yeah I go to a small university where you see a lot of the same faces every day so it makes me feel more awkward training alone.  When I go out with someone else it completely diminishes my apprehension but when I go train by myself I often go at night to avoid people and university police.  Although sometimes I scare the crap out of people walking around campus at night so it's kind of a toss up.
