I can easily do a front flip on a trampoline and am wanting to start doing them on grass. My question is, should I start on flat ground or jumping off of something about 3 feet high or so?

Ideally... find a gym and practice on the spring floor (in my opinion).

^^
This is true. You should always do something like flips and whatnot in a gym or where there are people who you know are certified and know how to properly execute the given movement.

Gyms cost money however, so if you cannot get to one or pay for it. Practice on flat soft surface with a mattress just in case.

i find it easier to flip if instead of doing the normal, over head and forward with the arms, have your arms come up from your waist outward in front of you... if that makes sence Shocked
