i cant really fill out the form thing right now as i dont have much time to be on the computer but i will try to later

i jumped down some stairs last night and my dog walked in front of my path so i landed awkwardly and on impact felt a weird pain in my knee, it went away after standing up but now every time i move my leg a certain way (usually bending it with weight on it but not all the time) i feel a kind of sharp, but definitely defined pain (it feels the same every time) on the inside of my kneecap. i looked it up and got the answers i figured i would get "its either a meniscus injury or a ligament injury"... i read through some tests to determine what it is and both kinda seemed to fit the pain.

when i move my knee in a full range i feel a little click at about 120º

i really wish today wasnt halloween because im going to be walking a lot and had plans to do as much parkour as possible tonight.....

You should see a doc about that.

well if its still has the pain in a few days i will, i know playing the waiting game with injuries is never the brightest idea, but id rather not have to make my parents pay bills if i didnt injure it (to the point where it needs medical attention)

If the pain is "on the inside of your kneecap" it could be meniscus or a ligament damage, but it could also be your patellofemoral joint, which is just a fancy term for the space behind your knee cap where it has a joint connection to your thigh bone (femur). Couple of questions about your knee. Where is the click when you bend your knee to 120 (top, side, under the knee cap, deep)? Does the click hurt? When you weight bear through the knee where do you experience the pain? Is there swelling in the knee? Is there any place that you can touch that causes the pain? What is the pain on a scale of 0-10 at rest and with activity?

Sorry to bombard you with questions, but it would be helpful to narrow down possibilities. Hope you have a speedy recovery.

Cheers to your health.

im going to try to do a one-legged squat on my left leg and see if i get any pain (after i do it two legged of course)

[...]

ok well i did both and felt no pain, so apparently i didnt do too much damage, though ill update you guys if it comes back

thanks for the help, its always appreciated

Probably just the patella mashing into your other articular cartilage. May turn out well sometimes... good to hear it's healing.
