Check your form and make sure you're balancing the weight properly. If it keeps up, lay off of the training that's bothering it.

Well, I was referring to how much weight you were putting on either hand. I realized after watching footage of my handstands that I lean to the left a little.
But as far as form goes, overall good form should take off a lot of negative pressure from you wrists, but more specifically make sure your arms and wrists are properly kept. If you over-rotate one of your arms and wrists it'll put rotational torque on it. If you favor one side of your wrist, be either ulnar or radial, it'll place undue stress on the portion you favor.
So again, overall make sure your form is good.
And no, you wouldn't have to lay off permanently. I meant temporarily to allow for a recovery period.
Further than that and it's beyond my scope of experience. Sorry =\

Gymnasts believe it is a correct handstand when the body is COMPLETELY in a straight line balancing from the heel of the palm, not the middle. gymnasticbodies.com has some really good handstand ideas. They also have a subforum that should help your wrist problem.

For all intents and purposes, it is the middle of the palm. Shoulders must be open all the way though.

I have a similar problem. My orthopod said the joint in my wrist is loose. Can you pop your wrist back and forth? BTW: I'll be back with some exercises once I go to physical therapy and see what kind of stuff they have me doing to strengthen the wrist.

I, too, have a similar problem. The chiropractor said my wrist is really loose, and it hurts like crazy whenever I try to do anything that bends my hand backwards like headstands, planks, planche attempts, etc. I keep thinking it's getting better, try some planche work or something, and it starts hurting like crazy. I go to the chiropracter and he asks me if I've fallen and caught myself with my hand, or what, because it's so loose and it's not healing.
Does someone maybe have exercises for us to tighten the wrists?

Strengthen your muscles will help as we've been talking about.. Rice bucket is my preference But you can also do wrist curls and other stuff like that.

Oops! Rice bucket as in... a bucket of rice!! I thought you were meaning rice as in "Rest, Ice, Compress, Elevate," and calling it "rice bucket" was some kind of joke or something. My bad!

"loose wrists" tell me that like steve said, all you gotta do is strengthen the surrounding structures. Rice bucket.
