Hey guys, A little background. I'm 16 years old, 6' 2.5" tall, 158lbs. I started Parkour in 2007. I trained hard for a good solid 6-8 months, I repeatedly drilled catpasses, reverses, dashes, speeds, lazy's.. I got to where I could do 1 muscle-up, around 10-12 chinups average and about 15 pullups, 75-100 squats etc. ^ On Average ^ So after I had just started to really get my training into high gear I came down with what I think was H1N1 (The Swine Flu) either that or an extremely severe form of seasonal flu (This lasted Jan, Feb, March of 2008)... My training came to a screeching halt... I am now starting to get back into training Parkour, this is my training log which I will try to regularly update.MY CURRENT GOALS:- Do 1 muscle up (important)
- Do 25 pushups
- Do 25 lever-ups
- Do 10 chinups
- Do
10 15 pullups - Run 1 mile in 5 minutes
- Do 50 squats
Thanks, and I'll try to post again soon.

Hey Tracer1993! I'm sorry you had the swine flu, good to know that you are recovering from it, though! Don't worry, you will get into the swing of things soon enough! First, were you meaning to spell Traceur, which is a male practitioner of Parkour? If not that's fine but I was just curious! Luckily, if you did make a mistake you can change your name on the fly! Second, what are your goals? We need some solid, realistic GOALS! Check this sticky out http://www.eatmoveimprove.com/2009/05/setting-and-achieving-goals/ and get back to us! Take care and happy training!

a month and a half non-stop.
That's beyond ridiculously terrible. If they were bad, I would say you're kind of lucky to even be alive. Were in the hospital the whole time or what?

I will edit my post to include my training goals. Thanks again for reading my post!

I don't know why I put the "non-stop" in there (my dyslexia showing through). There were times when my symptoms were relieved, I'm going to edit my post. I appreciate you reading my topic.

I didn't even run a mile, I ran almost half a mile and couldn't go anymore.
My lungs are burning really bad right now.
I guess I'll make this a "rest" day.

Keep working on it man! If you are going for endurance (like I am some days as well) remember to tell your body to STFU and keep going. Also, breathing is crucial. Get to know your breathing better, there is an article about that somewhere but I don't have time to link it ! Also, I believe strength adds into endurance as well, so strength should be primarily focused on over endurance but I am sure jogging does not hurt. I am no professional, so I may be a tad bit wrong on this! Have fun and keep training safely! I have tons of friends who are dyslexic and it's no big issue! We won't make fun of you or anything for that!

Thanks man. Before it got colder I was running almost every day and could run 1.3 miles without stopping. Amazing how fast your endurance plummets after you haven't done stuff like that for a few weeks. I'll probably end up taking a nap then doing some balance training.

October 23rd, 2009:
Ran just under half a mile. Later my 19 year old brother (he does parkour too) and I went to the park and trained for awhile, I was drilling some catpasses and lazy vaults, threw in a couple of 360's too.
