Well it's been eight months and seven chapters now and the story rages on. As both a writer and a practitioner I am always striving to make my work as good as possible. I can get instant feedback when training from my fellow runners or when I do a movement wrong. But with writing it's a little tougher haha. I've heard from some people but I want to hear from everyone I can. So...
What does everyone think so far? Do you like the story? Hate it? See room for improvement, and if so, where? Just want to speculate on where the story goes next? Anything at all about RISE, feel free to say it here.
EDIT: Thanks for the linkage Zac!

Hi Gabe. I started reading Rise, and it's quite a good story! Would it be ok if I did a thorough critique of the chapters and posted it in this thread? It would take up quite a bit of space but who knows, I might be useful (or not)

I second what everyone said. Rise is such a great story I'm sure we can all connect with. I've had times where I've been so tired I couldn't go on, but I did anyway. And the satisfaction was perfectly matched with your story. Keep it up, dude!

It would take up quite a bit of space but who knows, I might be useful (or not) Go right ahead. And be as biting as you like haha. I like harsh criticism, sugar coated words don't have enough impact to make me change. (But leave out stuff about typos, like missing an 's' or an extra the or something. I notice those the instant the chapters get published online and I smack my forehead for missing the obvious ones)

I think when your finished you should publish it. And then maybe write another parkour novel. I would definatly buy it. Your story is why I look foward to the freerunner.

Anybody have anything they'd like to see? (Besides Lee getting knocked out haha)
Any speculations about the future of the story?
By the way, I'm thinking of having a "Christmas Special" sort of side story for December. Any ideas for that?

I want to see Owen and Rusty really bond at some point. Of course, this is your story. I think its better that we don't make requests, your doing a fine job on your own
