im new. found out about parkour a few days ago and ive been trying as hard as i can to master the roll i think i have it but i cant do it put of jumos and i dont know if im doing it right.  im sorta psychotic and i try most things i see.  im 12 and in pretty crappy shape but i spend about 2 hours a day at the gym on a bike or on a olyptical trainer and some weight lifting.  Im very cautious about what i eat and my family is all health nuts.  any advice on what i should do? I spend probably an hour and a half practicing some parkour stuff but i no nothing so it basically me falling on a mat for two hours which kinda makes my friend laugh but any advice i really could use some

Hey Mark Toorock,

It realy warms my heart to read about how you guys feel about Parkour and the way you want this forum to be.  I coulndt find the time right now, but i will be sending you a message this week, or maybe later today.

Greatings from the Netherlands.

Marvin Tigchelaar

PS, I've noticed in your first post of this topic you link to some parkour.net stuff. Sadly the site is off line.

Feel akward with this as my first post, but the FAQ and Rules links in the first post here don't work.  I'll see if I can find them elsewhere.

yeah, also the BIOs for the belles dont work (the links)

the only thing ive noticed about this site is a lot of people (judging by comments) are in this completely for the looks of it, and not actually just being able to get around faster...

i think theyre more looking for free running than parkour..

I'm from Austin Texas (www.texasparkour.com). I have just recently got involved in parkour. Initially, for my website but I am realizing how much I enjoy it so now it seems to be a regular activity.
Anyway, wanted to say hi.
Check out our site if you get a sec. Thx! www.rushmonkeys.com

i agree with shawn 7656, parkour/ free running is a disciplined activity, not just a show off fun game

yes im also very new to parkour. i'm 13 years old and im kinda skinny and in somewhat in a good shape, i run a mile in under 6 mins and 20 secs so i guess im about average when i go up against the other kids my age but anyways, i have a extremly short attantion span and im really suprised that i actually like doing this kind of stuff.....i also have learned how to do a money vault for some reason and i can barely do a roll. so yea is that normal that i can do that?

Well i think those are guidelines that we should follow always common sense stuff but yet people still read this and it clearly states what NOT to do and they still do it ridiculous
