It was one of the most defining things in the PKUSA forum on UFF. Perhaps someone feels up to compiling and transferring it to these forums?

That brings a tear to my eye, kind of like the text in the beginning of the first "Star Wars" movie ...

Man I remember checking the forums constantly waiting for a new part to this story.... I must say tho I enjoyed Gear's writings the best (the little that he did was pure quality!)

I think the story already went a little too far.  Gear's ending did an excellent job of rounding it out, and I think that the story got to the point where we were trying far too hard.  There were too many characters introduced after a while, the story kinda jumped around (A LOT).  Generally, people wanted to take the story in too many directions, something I admit that I was guilty of.

In so far as publishing it, I think there was some effort made to do something along those lines, however I don't think that it was ever followed through with.  The problem with publishing is that it would have to be re-written and every contributer would have to be contacted to gain permission to alter any of their work, as well as to gain permission to use their characters and writings.  Although I don't think anyone trademarked any of the characters or had their work copywritten.

My personal opinion, anyone who is inspired by this collection should start writing something.  Be inspired.  This collection already exists for those of us who care to read it, so lets just leave it be.

And if anyone should get that dollar, it should be Gear.

But I want the ice cream.

It's fun to read through this again and see who was all writing it. Gear, Akh Sov, Gameyy, I didnt even know you guys then. And I hardly even remember writing that section. Guess I should cut down on the drugs! lol.

That compilation was amazing and addicting. But I agree, with so many writers it did get stretched pretty thin... I think we saw the same thing coming with the Apocalyptica story, too.

What if we had new ones with limited participation? We could start up groups of five lead by certain "moderators" who are in fact "editors" and help the others in the group to stay on track ...

Maybe we pick some points f the original story and use them as expansion points to write new chapters around?

Or we could just go back to the original and work as a group to streamline it for publishing.

Thoughts??

Hmm, not a bad idea. I think it definitely needs some kind of organization / smaller scale of people / editors that help stay on track. Not a bad idea at all, this may just respark it a bit!
