I am a member of Texas Parkour and I have been "training" a friend's son for a little while and we are both having fun in the process. His name is Franklin and he is 3 years old and he is completely fascinated with parkour. I have started filming a bit with him but I still have a ways to go on that project. I wanted to post a few pics to show what Franklin the Great (as I call him) has going on. He inspires me and sheds new a light on things by having the approach of a child, pure and free.

That's cool! Kids do this already, we're just there to try and help them do it safer! I know M2 has a kid, Jack, who he trains every week. Along with my kids, I will probably be setting up a childerens group class this summer through my physical therapist Cheesy

Rock on Deft!  Cool

Nice, we have SOO much to learn from kids.  It's funny, people see me in a park, and kids start to "immitate" me ... and parents say "the kids are imitating you" ... that's when I tell them that it's the other way around Smiley

For kids I wouldn't call it Parkour, it's just life, being lived as it should be!

I hope to have some footage of a groups of "guys" I "train" with pretty regularly in Chinatown in NY. They're 8-12 and usually kick my butt playing tag.

Thanx guys! I woudl really like to see the things that Gear will have going on when he gets a children's group going. I bet M2 has a great teacher/student relationship ( M2-as teacher AND student and the same for his child hehe.) Since I am not around Franklin as much as a parent would I don't have a full understanding of what makes him jump in the way that he does.

Pure, unbridled, neverending energy, pure and simple. If they don't jump, they explode. The only thing that can curtail this is modern electronics, which I have attempted to keep my kids away from as much as possible :p
