Hello,

This is an update from Parkour Connection. If you have no idea what Parkour Connection is, please refer to this link: http://www.americanparkour.com/smf/index.php/topic,1446.0.html or visit our website at http://www.parkourx.co.nr

I have made a compilation of some of the videos to give everyone an idea of how the video will work/look. I assure you the editing will be better on the final cut. We are still in great need of more clips, so I hope this sampler inspires you to help us out some!

Enjoy

It's looking really good, and a few of the videos have really nice speed/flow to them.  My only thing is about whoever filmed theirs in black and white... it's really weird when that changes.

cool idea. i think more people will be excited to participate now that we have seen what it looks like. one thing i would like to see is a text overlay at the bottom of every person's segment that says who they are and where they are from.

That was the plan, but we couldn't find a way to do that, at least not yet.

The final piece, though, will have a small bit of text saying where each clip was filmed.

Of course you don't have to take my advice. But i was just thinking maybe between throw and catch you could have a map, and draw a line from where the thrower and the catcher are. Or maybe like at the end you could draw a line from person to person for every person thats in it. I just thought this might be a more creative way to show where someone is.

My only real question for submission is what kind of wallet is it?

edit: After watching the sampler I guess it doesn't really matter a whole lot since you won't be able to see it very well.

Buddha, if you read the post closely there is a link to the website. if you are still stuck, then check out

Also, I have decided that the final video will be much more quality than this. There will be a long and a short version, and we will be very selective in what clips go in the short one. We want it to be a good representation of parkour, so only efficient movements. In this sampler, a lot was inneficient. Also, Demon and CyanideSoda, we have already considered both of your ideas. We want to have a bit of text with the country and city, as well as a flag. But the name of the traceur is irrelevent - that will be in the credits. And Cyanide, we were thinking of using Google Earth for this. But should we do this in between every clip? Perhaps it will ruin the flow.
