Hey guys. I haven't been on in while. Just thought I share this with you guys. I'm hosting a comedy show at the Improv tomorrow night and my friend who is promoting the show made this flyer.



We all know this image. Hope he doesn't sued for using it. Anyway, now I need to find a way to work parkour into a joke. Any suggestions?

It's tricky using the word "Parkour" because so many people will not know what that is, and you'll lose the momentum you need to keep with the audience. Just like a new traceur, you gotta give them a progression so they stay hooked. Like Ozzi said, the best thing is to relate it to something they've seen. You know, "I get kinda crazy sometimes. Too much energy and I start jumpin off stuff like Jackie Chan/guy in Casino Royale. Once they know what you're talking about, then you can comically introduce Parkour. "On that note, you know they actually made a sport out of doing that stuff? It's like the I-Didn't-Learn-The-First-Time-That-This-Was-A-Bad-Idea club. * audience laugh* No actually, they call it "Parkour"."
