Ok before I bring down a storm of smite on my head these are non-competitive games. I love the non-competitive spirit of Parkour, it's part of what makes our little community so great.

I've been teaching parkour for about four months now and I've found that small doses of competition can help people push themselves and break down mental blocks. They also make for a hell of a workout.

QM Tag:  Find an open area, preferably grassy so no one gets hurt if they screw up while rolling. Set up boundaries, leave some room dash around but don't make your area too big or people will be able to put too much distance between themselves and the "it" and the game will suck. You can limit the types of QM people can use but it's best to go free form so people can switch styles when one becomes too tiring. A good game of QM tag will last you about 5-10 minutes depending on how many people are involved. It's over when there is only one person left who can move.

Modified QM Tag: If you want to incorporate other techniques find an area that is pretty heavy in obstacles. People are allowed to stand in order to vault or jump on something but they should have to return immediately to a QM position. You don't fully stand up because we've found that it speeds up the game a bit too much and people start crashing into each other or unforgiving concrete. Staying in QM also makes for a better work out.

Zombie Apocalypse: This is the last of the QM variants, ridiculously fun, and important training for the coming zombie invasion. There are humans and zombies. Humans QM on all four limbs but aren't allowed to roll. The zombies can only move on three limbs but they are allowed to roll. You start with one zombie. When the zombie tags someone they turn into a zombie. The game goes until all players are zombies.
Variation, Last people on earth: When the zombies outnumber humans the humans are allowed to tag zombies on the head to kill them. The game goes until one side wins.

Fetch: You need an area pretty full of obstacles for this. You also need a firzbee or ball that doesn't bounce too much. Some one throws and someone retries it in the most efficient way possible.

The ground is hot lava: You were all five you know how to play this.

Keep it Fresh: Find an object of any kind. One by one people do techniques but each one must be new. When no one can think of anything new you move on to another object. This is great for working on the mental aspects of Parkour.

These are a great way to end a day of training. They are fun, they are a hell of a workout, and most importantly they allow you to use parkour outside the context of practicing. You can make huge improvements when you're not worried abut having to improve. Most people run into trouble when they get caught up thinking about their shortcomings. The games remove your internal monologue and force you to act on instinct. I've seen students roll and vault playing games when they swear up and down that they can't do it while we're practicing.

Does any one have games to add to our list?

This has been semi covered before. But I'll post again anyways, because it's fun.

The french youngsters play a game of tag, forget the specific name of it, but it's basically cat tag. It's like regular tag, but anything you can perch yourself on (precision) is base.

A bad traceur does a move untill he gets it right. A great traceur does it untill he is not able to get it wrong.

http://pdq.ductmonkey.com/ PDQ is another fun one. This is a strategic "precision jumping" game.
