I am perfectly comfortable with kongs and getting my legs in between my hands, but on movements where i don't have much momentum or speed(topping out of a climb up, standing kong/monkey type thing like the ending move in the sequences from 1:50-2:11  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4JxlcU-Al0U ) i am extremely uncomfortable with these techniques, so i am wondering for a way to work this out and become comfortable with it

you could try doing a monkey like motion on stairs, me and my friend did that to familiarize ourselves with the technique Smiley

Its just drilling it and getting over the fear. Finding progressions to help ease you into doing it, finding the perfect spot where you feel completely safe. Had a big problem with this kind of thing for a while but once you just kind of get the technique in your head and find a place to initially do it, with whatever motivator there to help you most you know, just go for it then drill the hell out of it until you can do it anywhere and then eventually it will come.

I used to have the same problem, and I know how you feel.

One thing that I did was squat down on my floor, lift myself up just with my hands (I am a little guy so I can easily lift my own weight), and then do like a monkey on the floor going forward... hard to explain! Anyhow, try something like that and you will get it in no time!

~Best of luck to you!
