I don't know of any particular spots in SoCal, but it's a pretty big place, so I'm sure you'll find something. I'll bet that every city in the world has at least one good spot, so you should be fine.
Also, you may want to change the title of your post. When I first saw it I thought you meant you were leaving the forums. Since you're asking a question, you might want to make the title something like "looking for good spots in Southern California," or something. More people might respond.
