I recently just began actually training and learning maneuvers in parkour. I didnt even know what it was until over the summer, one of my friends showed me some youtube videos of it and from there I got hooked. Im not in the best physical condition yet but ive set my heart and mind to parkour. I can do some basic rolls, and i have learned  when to use them when jumping from a high height, im taking it one step at a time making sure not to go beyond my limits but im getting better and better every day.

Could someone post some good exercises and maneuvers that would be good for beginners and  what kind of training would be best?

Where to start....where to start. So much to learn, I haven't even scratched the surface and it's been 3 months.

Let's start here: http://www.americanparkour.com/content/view/887/270/

Personally I read this when I first started but still don't work on those things in that order. I think if you stuck to the order those are in and trained say about, an hour a day or 5-7 hours a week total on each section that would be good for starters. I still should, but don't due to lack of focus.

Remember what Dan said.  He said that hard training would be like 4 hours long.  Anything longer and your either super human or not training.

You can learn movements, but you're not in that great of shape so you're going to have to REALLY focus on conditioning your first year.  If you want to keep doing this stuff for more than a year than conditioning is essential.  This means you'll have to get into the best shape of your life.  Seriously train too.  Just don't do a few exercises and quit when it gets too hard to do more.  You should set yourself a goal, such as:
6 minute mile
20 pull-ups nonstop
60 push-ups nonstop
80 second plank
etc.

Once you reach those goals set new ones that are even higher.  Not that you can't practice movements, but you have to build a strong base for which you build off of.
