Man, how can you all remember this!? I am glad you can of course, but I have NO
recollection of any of my 1sts. Is this a bad thing? Well, I know its not. Is it a...
unusual thing to not know??

I guess it shows how long and dedicated you are to parkour. I still remember because i have done it for a measley month.

I would think that anyone, even the pros, would remember their first trick, vault, etc. because of how good it feels to acomplish them. These first tricks are your foundation and mark how much you've improved.

My First vault My first vault was either the 2 handed vault or the lazy

First Trickpalm spin than 3 months later wallspin.

What got me interested I always wanted to do flips and stuff

My Story I was looking up flips on google came across a video and thought nothing of it just a video with running and flipping. than a few months later after science class my teacher showed me the B13 chase. He asked this is a french sport called free walking and I thought that is cool. than like a week later I thought what was that thing he showed me uh uh free....free.....free running that's it and looked it up. I watched a bunch of different videos and thought I want to do this so I went out side and started working on running up fences. Than a few weeks later I saw the difference of parkour and free running and thought I really want to do this. Now I have about 1.5 years behind me. It wasn't till reasonly though I started training correctly after watch Stephane Vigroux in a urban freeflow video. Now lots of repetition and conditioning and good mindset.

First vault - Speed, two hand, or saddle/straddle whatever the one is with the splits.

First trick - I really dont care for flips and such.

What got me intrested - Probably 007 Casino Royale chase scene (actually got into the act far later, and even further intrested when the philosophy connected with my views on the world already so well)

My Story - I've been looking for a physical activity to help me work out. I've been trying to get in shape for a long time. Somehow I stumbled across parkour. I'm really not sure how. But I did, and My life's changed for the better because of it. I've been training intensly for about 2 months now. It's wonderful.

First vault - Monkey

First trick - Cat Grab from Tic Tak lol (scared the crap outta me)

What got me interested - The old nike commercials to be honest lol. i saw it then googled it and poof here i am

My Story - Parkour honestly saved me from going nuts, i never really trained too much before as it was just something fun to do when i had time. Yet when my fiancee and I split i found myself getting depressed and hating daily life, so one day i got up out of bed and put on my shoes and went outside. two hours later i felt as a free as a bird and i've been doing it every day since then no matter the weather (though rain does suck...). that was the beginning of this year and i dont see me stopping anytime soon. Parkour has quite literally become my life, i live it and breathe it now lol

First vault:  Monkey.  I actually had successfully monkeyed a picnic table my first week.

First trick: Nothing yet.  It will most likely be a wall spin.

What got me interested:  The difference of it.  I didn't see any philosophy behind it, but I always wanted to learn a martial art and just train my body into steel.  I saw parkour and was instantly entranced.

My story: Heard about my friend talking about starting parkour.  I'm like wow that's great without even knowing what it was.  (He never actually started).  So a few months later I looking at the urban ninja video and going, "OMG that is so cool."  Than I click a few more links.  "Oh this is parkour?"  I was so amazed by how different it is.  As soon as I saw it I knew I wanted to learn that.  And learn it I am.

First vault- Lazy Vault

First trick- Haven't done any tricking yet. Actually thinking about trying a backflip today.

What got me interested- Random videos on youtube.

My story- I had seen a lot of videos on youtube over the past couple of years. I always thought they were cool but that was about it. One day me and and a friend were watching and I was just like "You know I bet we could do that." He was like ok let's go try. We went down to a local park and tried a couple of things. We've been hooked ever since. We've even recruited a couple of other friends to do it with us.

First vault- uh......

First trick- Does backflip count?

What got me interested- THE David Belle interview

My story- The year was 2002. I was watching Ripley's Believe it Or Not with my friend and we saw the famous Yamakazi/David Belle video. However I was in 6th grade so after an afternoon of jumping around, I forgot about parkour (which I didn't know it was called then). Then in November of 2006 I saw Casino Royale and Sebastian Foucan's amazing performance. I went out that night with some friends and messed about, got on some roofs and went home. Then I hit Youtube up. I was hooked. That first year I didn't do much. I did it sometimes and even then I didn't know what I was doing. I only got really serious about parkour in the last couple months.

Now I can doez kong vault lyke reel goodz

What got me interested- My friend started talking about the "Russian Climbing" video and showed it to me, thats when i started following it and have loved it ever since

My story- Well as i said thats what got me interested, i was prob 12-13 years old, didnt know what i was doing but was just jumping things, i really started when i was 15, got one friend of mine into it(since then he has dropped out, and uses it to show off) i stayed strong and have gone to a couple jams and loving every minute of it
