I've actually tried this once. It is really simple technique wise, but it takes a lot of strength to pull yourself in and keep the momentum from carrying you like in a normal lazy vault.
btw, I never actually successfully did it.

He means a lazy vault into a turn vault-like landing. I've done it, but only on rails with big ledges under them.

There are two different variations depending on which way you spin. Going into a lazy using your right arm and then swinging to your right is much easier then turning the other way because you must flick your body in a way that opposes your momentum. I have been trying for ages but can't get it. One of my short friends can do it very easily however.

I was having troubles until Skinny and Zach Cohn helped me. What I did to get it was kick my feet really high on the lazy vault part so I have more time to turn hope this helps. Thanks Zach and Skinny.

My bad. One tip would be to straighten your body to help with the twist.

1) grab rail 2) move imaginatively
lazy turn vault should be somewhere in the midst

yea i have really been trying to get this i tried alot yesterday with no luck again. although i did get the lazy turn where you continue in the same spin and make the full 270 or whatever the spin would be rather than changing the rotation like im trying to do. i also finally got this other maneuver i was working on but i really dont think it is labeled but just when i though i was becoming unmotivated i learned something new which is always good. does anyone have any advice for rail spins? (i guess thats what they are called... palm spin on a rail) i cant keep my feet up the whole way around and i know am strong enough and i dont think its a mental thing i just think im attacking it wrong.

What I have noticed is people have a problem with keeping their heads down on palm spins. On rails or other wise and names aren't importain if the people your talking to gets your meaning behind them.

I have recently learned how to do these and this is the main thing i've noticed what to do...in a normal lazy as you come over the rail your hands almost push over and out a bit you out as to keep your momentum goin foward and over the rail.. if you want to do it into a turn vault just try to keep your center of gravity on the rail as you get your legs over instead of pushing it moving your center of gravity over the rail with your hands. This way you will find it a lot easier to turn your body as you come down onto the rail.. at first it seems a bit uncomfortable and scary because you feel like you are stalling almost on the rail and are going to fall down on it. you just have to trust yourself and make sure your legs get over the rail.
