hey guys, today i was at a park with my friend jake and i was trying to kong something it was about 8 feat off the ground on one side but on the other it was long platforms of steps. so i try a kong and i knee my self right in the arm, so i say nah the pain will go away (it was accualy like hurting) and i try another one, and my arm somehow like looses all strength and it like falls over while my knees are coming over and i knee my self right in the face. so um ya if u feel pain in ur arm plz take a seat/knee for like a min and let the pain go away.

Ironically, though it is common sense it brings up some interesting stuff.

Pain is an autogenic inhibitor of muscular strength.  In other words, like he mentioned, your muscles go weak after pain.  This is a very important point because sometimes we are unaware of pain because it has not hit a certain threshhold, but turns out, the muscle weakening still exists.  Therefore a traceur can be performing, and unbeknownst to him he's got damage to his body, and it inhibits certain muscles, causing misfiring and loss of coordination and strength.

It seems like a simple and "common sense" thing when stated, but its got way deeper meaning Smiley  We'll see if anyone reads this though.

Good point. Could that explain how some days I just feel less coordinated, or in control than others?

The reason you feel less coordinated and in-control is way deeper than that...

In fact, there probably isn't any solid answer to that...

There are so many things going on in an athlete's body its impossible to keep track of all of them.

For example, your CNS (brain and spinal cord all the way down to the nerves that connect to muscles) can be fatigued from an intense day a few days ago and still recovering.  In addition to that, you could have pain, as Ken is saying here.  Also, there is muscular fatigue and recover that is occurring that will also hinder performance.  These are just examples, and, too an extent, all are going on concurrently in your body.

In short, as an athlete, sometimes you will just have some "bad days" Tongue

yes, every body is different.  my point is that there may be sub-acute issues inhibiting muscles.  Injuries that haven't healed fully.  and for traceurs, its a bigger issue Smiley.  so yes levi its possible, but as chris said, it could be a myriad of things
