hi everyone, i decided i should start a training log being the unfocused unorganized person i am, i thought it would keep me on track.  Anyway i'll start off by introducing myself, i'm 14 years old, i've been playing baseball since the age of 4 playing mainly as a catcher so i've got stronger legs than most people who play the sport.  I consider myself to be somewhat fit, but coupled with a diet that consists mainly of junk food, i'm probably a lot less fit than i could be.  Before i discovered parkour i had worked out very sparingly, really only when my coaches did it during practice, so any suggestions on how to improve my workout are greatly appreciated.

Today i started trying to eat healthy

Beakfast-bowl of cereal with bannanas(sp?) and a yogurt

at around 10:30 i made myself a blueberry milkshake

Lunch-Chicken sandwhich on whole wheat bread with a small amount of mayonaisse and some carrots and half a bell pepper

Dinner-Some steak with Orza Salad and some snow peas

As for my workout today, i recently came down with a bad case of poison oak (like a rash all over my body, sorry tmi Tongue) so i tried to keep it light.

I went to the gym and stretched for about five minutes, then ran for about 20 minutes on the indoor track.  Afterwards i went into the weight room and did some squats about three rounds of ten reps each, weight was probably 100 lbs.  Then I went into the fitness room and did three rounds of eight pull-ups each.

Till tomorrow

 9/7/08

Second day of my training log!!

For breakfast this morning i had some scrambled eggs with slices of ham mixed in and some whole wheat toast.  In an effort to increase my humiliating low level of flexebility i did some stretching excersises i found off the internet in the morning.  For lunch i had a turkey and chicken sandwhich on whole wheat bread.  After lunch i did some jumping excersises, broad jumps, box jumps those kinds of things.  At 3:00 i had baseball practice, baseball practice basically went like this, start off with some light stretching, then we did some lunges about 30 yards 3 times some but kickers and a couple rounds of kareoke.  After that we did some agility excersises skipping through a ladder stuff like that.  When i came home i had a chicken and cheese quesedilla, chicken with low fat cheese, and some peppers. That was it for today.

Until tomorrow

Well my poison ivy has cleared up, but ironically for the past couple of days i've been really sick maintaing a fever of 100.6, so i haven't been able to work out at all, but i have been keeping up with my new eating habits.  I eat some cereal in the morning, but my mom's kind of been forcing me to eat a lot of canned soups and saltine crackers, so not much i can do about that.  I started to feel a little better today hopefully by tomorrow i can start working out again.

Well i know i haven't posted in a while, but i felt like keeping track again. Some awesome news, for my birthday i got 3 personal training sessions, i learned a lot of new amazing workouts that i'm going to make sure to workin to my routine.

Went to the gym today, started with the APK warmup, this has become a lot easier since the last time i did it, can easily due the pushups, situps, and squats and for two rounds i can do the ten pullups for the third round though i can get to five, but after that i need some assistance i push off a wood block underneath me.

For my workout I did three rounds of 30 seconds each- 15 lb medicine ball wall tosses, squat jumps, dumbell thrusters, then 1:00 on the urg machine, i finished with a slow cycle about 55 rpm for 10 minutes.

When i came home i had an apple, a cup of carrots, a cup of broccoli, and about 10 walnuts

Another day of training, hooray!!

For breakfast, had some scrambled eggs, an apple, and a couple of carrots.
Went to the gym did the ENTIRE APK warmup, QM and all. Then did a cycle of pullups, where on the first minute did 1 pullup, second minute did two and so on and so forth until i failed, the i started over and did it again until i failed again a lot harder than it sounds.

I'm going to a party later see what kind of food i can find there, that's moderatley healthy.

Util tomorrow
