Well i'm just wondering is a gainer easier or a regular backflip from standing. It would seem a gainer is easier because of all the swinging momentum from your leg, but then backflips would seem easier to spot so feel free to suggest.

A gainer is much much harder then a backflip.
Have you done a back tuck before?
Or are you choosing which one to try first?

Go for the back tuck.
Gainers are quite a bit harder.
