I think I may have just broken my toe... I was outside in my backyard practicing double kongs when I stubbed my toe really hard on the object I was vaulting... (yes, it was pretty stupid to be practicing vaults I hadn't mastered barefoot...)  It matches all the symptoms I found on WebMD.  If it turns out to be broken, what should I do?  Just ice it a few times a day, have it buddywrapped to another toe, keep it elevated, and most importantly rest?  Anything else I should do?

It would be a good idea to *see a doctor* so they can take X-rays to see if it's actually broken AND if it is to reset the bone. If the bone is misaligned and you don't have it reset then you will have problems FOR LIFE.

If you suspect a break, see a doc regardless.

Yeah, I went today and I have a hairline fracture.  So no parkour or capoeira or any sport for 6 weeks  Shocked  I might as well kill myself!

PS: No PE for the first month of school, either.

Make sure you STAY OFF IT.

Work your weaknesses or other things... such as flexibility, upper body strength, etc.

That's lame, sorry to hear that.  I broke my big toe about a year and a half ago at work.  I didn't go to the doctor (I'm stupid like that) but I wrapped it and stayed off it for a while and it was good as new in under 2 months.  Just follow all the advice you've already gotten.  You'll make it and be back to vaulting in no time.  =D
