Okay, i know there is a fairly recent topic on this, but i have a different problem and it was pretty much dead.
I can do a fairly good handstand, 10+ seconds, i have to break the walking around habit, but im good past that.
But after i kick up i am concentrating so hard i cant breathe and balance at the same time. So i am limited by how long i can hold my breath and how long i can stand the blood rushing to my face.
Please help? I am not sure if there is an answer, but i hope so.

It takes time to get used to. Here is what I recommend:
  • Inhale as you reach for the floor.
  • Find your balance.
  • Exhale and try to breathe deeply.
  • If you lose your balance, focus on balancing and breathe again once you're stable.

Breathing will be easiest once you are nicely balanced.
If you need to walk around, you're breath will be irregular, but it shouldn't be too difficult.
If you are struggling to stay up, it will be VERY difficult to breathe.

Generally speaking, people tend to hold their breath while concentrating on something. It is done unconsciously and causes physical and mental strain which ultimately disturbs the concentration.

Focus on breathing when you do handstands against a wall. You just have to get used to it.

Also, I don't know what your technique looks like but I do recommend the gymnastics type of handstand because it uses less energy and is easier to control with small adjustments... but that's up to you. Straight it out by pushing everything tall (see drillsandskills.com for more info).

I wish I could do one... I can't seem to get my head on the ground.  My neck just ends up bent and I can't move on from that.

I can't seem to get my head on the ground.
that is a headstand...

and to the actual topic, how long have you been able to do a 10+ second handstand? to get a real answer things like this needs to be answered, like is it a fluke that it's a 10+ long, or if you can do it easily and regain balance easily, then lyk spyder said, just practice breathing

big breath before you start, then exhale deeply when you get total control on your handstand, then just breath, practice Grin
