I was wondering if anyone could let me know how i might get in touch with the local traceurs there. I've messaged tk-17 and demon because I know they have gone, but I got no response. Is there like a website or forum for traceurs in Lisses and Evry?

Those guys.. a lot of them are pretty much friends who just call each other up.. France is so small that there isn't a huge need for an internet community.

As far as I know, Duncan (TK) is still in Lisses, so that's probably why he isn't able to get back to you.  .Net used to be a great place to get some local French traceurs to give you the run around, but it's closed now.

You could also ask the locals when you get there and keep your eye out for traceurs.  I find it refreshing when i'm training and another traceur approaches me.

I'm in Paris right now and am wanting to head there one of these days.  Does anyone know exactly how to get there?  I checked the ticket computer/machine at the Metro stop and there's an option for suburbs and Evry shows up but not Lisses.  Does anyone know just how exactly the two towns are situated? Are they together? Separate?  For example, if I go to Evry and I get off the train, I'm assuming all the places I've seen in videos and stuff aren't just going to be sitting there staring at me.  Tongue  Anybody have details?

For example, I'd really like to see the Dame du Lac, the gymnasium, and the handicap ramp that is well known (the one in UF Volume 3 with Stephane Vigroux where he talks about when he used to train with David Belle).

I'm pretty sure the two towns are connected. The only major border is a highway that cuts through the middle.

I haven't received any kind of message from you so that's why I haven't responded. The locals are very hard to get in touch with if you don't already have connections with any of them, meaning phone numbers or previous email correspondence. However, if you go out and train in Evry, you will probably run into some of them if you know where to look. The best place to see them is the red brick handicap ramps by the cathedral/city hall in Evry.

Hmm I know I clicked to send those messages, but I guess it didn't go through. I've decided to  take tk17's advice and visit only the spots I find myself through exploration or spots that i'm led to. I think it would be so much cooler to run into the spots by chance rather than   "Hmm, my map says that staircase should be right behind that building over there......" If I want to find the famous spots, Ill have to put more effort into finding them, which means ill find tons of other spots in between.

So anyway, TK17 is on his third trip now?
