Rails would be best, IMO.  Different heights for precisions, bipedal & quadripedal balance and vaults.  Only problem is that you'll need to progressively increase your jump lengths.  A sand pit for practicing rolls, falls and other things sounds good, too.

Get some cement and build that thing they have in Lisses  Sarcasm - Akh Sarcasm - Akh Sarcasm - Akh

Party at your house.  Grin

But yeah. I use saw horses at my house to train any distance of kongs or other vaults. Plus a porch and a few rails in the trees for whatever else i can think of.

Awesome man, a worthwhile investment!

First off, I'd check out the tutorials posted up here on how to make some cool training equipment.
I'd definitely start out with some precision trainers.http://www.americanparkour.com/content/view/890/317/
and a balance bar http://www.americanparkour.com/content/view/1835/317/ or two. I'd also spend all of 4 minutes to build a jump height trainer http://www.americanparkour.com/content/view/894/317/ (really versitile).

On the other end of the spectrum, you could make a Parcube http://www.americanparkour.com/content/view/536/317/ to train cat leaps, tic-tacs and wall tricks. I'd also seriously reccomend putting together some vault and plyo boxes to train with (I can't find the link to the hot to).

With just these few basic training tools, you'd be amazed at all of the possiblities and the potential for progression.
To give you an idea of all of the possibilities: http://www.americanparkour.com/content/view/974/#comment4266

I'd also shoot hardcoretraceur a message asking for suggestions as I know he's got a pretty sweet setup in his backyard.

Best of luck,
 - Kipup

Good point.  I was going to say that it's hard to keep rails vertical with no supports, but I really couldn't think of any solution.

..and I have no idea what orifice Kipup pulled all these links from but I've gotta check out APK publications more often.  lol.

I guess nicely taken care of grass is good, too, just that my lawn is really bad and rough.  I kept a patch in my back yard of only dirt so I can rake it and make sure I have an even rolling place.  Sand sounds easier to wipe off.
