I work at the Home Depot, and when I went to the COPK and saw the long metal bars people were using for precisions and bar practice, I knew immediantly I needed some to train.

So, as soon as I got back, I bought the materials I needed without doing much research, and it came to $40 for just one practice rail  Shocked

Other forum friends gave me the idea of picking up the metal piping from old junkyards and such, but I just wanted to know what others thought, and if anyone had any ideas/past experience.

A year ago we made those rails for about 30 per rail. This year we made more and it was almost double the cost I think. I had no idea metal prices had gone up so much. You can make precision trainers with 2x4s. Not as good but way cheaper.

i dont wanan rip on anyone but i am curoius to see the effect of time on this box of yours.  metal rails yes are expensive but also worth it.  consider it like a videogame.  money spent hours enjoyed ratio.  final fantasy 12. 60 dollars, 70 hours= amazing.  rail, 50 dollers, 100's of hours= INCREDIBLE.
