i always lose track of my logs and forget about them but im gonna try to get back into it so heres a little background update

summer started and i was ready to do some major parkour but one thing led to another i got a job and i was always so tired after work that i never felt like doing any exercising
then on my days off id spend days with friends which got me back into drinking coke again so that wasnt helping much
then i have been having troubles with my best friend who has been ditching me lately so gradually my attitude started getting bad and i wasnt making very good decisions i now unfortunatly have a criminal record (a class c misdemeanor for shoplifting a butterfinger at united supermarket)  and now summer is almost over and i had yet to do any parkour and then i realized that now that i almost have nothing im losing a best friend and my parents arnt gonna trust me for a long time that i need somthing to release stress and occupy my time in a positive way and is healthy and the first thing that popped into my mind was parkour  so here i am again and its time to get serios this time

8/12

my friend taylor stayed the night and we bought airsoft guns to play with while doing parkour and we went to the college and stretched then got into about an hour long game of airsoft all around the gazeebo
we went to where his house was and worked on kongs and well that didnt turn out well we cant figure out what were doing wrong heres a video of him i dont have one of myself but my kongs look the same so if you have any helpful words please post them

8/16

no real parkour work today i went to the gym (not gymnastics gym) and worked on my pullups still can barely  do them but ill have them down soon

i did do a couple vaults over the rail around the running area and people stared at me like i was weird haha
when i got home i did some lazy vault practice over a belly button high wall wich had about a chin high drop on the other side

im probly gonna do an hour of wii fit soon im pretty sore so i think tomorrow should be a rest day considering i have work at 3:30 and i wont have much time to train

*sigh* school is 81/2 days away hopefully i can get a good schedule together so i dont start slacking on my training

still sitting here looking at the forums and i realized i have no goals set so heres what i have so far
short term goals:
learn to do effective kongs (need to dive more and fix my knee opening problem)
making my motions and landings more fluid
learn to do monkeys (just need to fix my knee opening problem)
learn to dash vault
increase my feet height on my reverse vaults
learn to tic-tak to cat grab
learn to tak off a wall over a rail (never tried it but it looks cool)
learn to front flip on ground
do a pull up without strugglening or kipping
do 5 pull ups in a row

long term goals:
drop 20 pounds
follow a diet(going to grocery store tomorrow)
1 muscle up (i put this in long term because its gonna take awile)

ill add some more as i think of them
heres some other notes that i forgot in earlier posts

8/15

did some blind fold vaults which were really relaxing and all of the vaults felt smooth it felt like it was just me and the rail

8/16

was having trouble sleeping last night and it was about 3 in the morning so i read the meditation/mindfulness article and did a little bit of meditating while listening to smooth music and it really cleared my mind and i went to sleep shortly after
it felt nice to not think about everything going on around me for once i might start doing this daily

note to self: start adding W.O.D to my daily routines

Some advice for technique's you plan to learn, I wouldn't worry about the "monkey" vault as much.  It's virtually the same thing as a kong, and isn't effective in any situations really.  Another good thing to work on would be your climb-ups and wallruns.  Hope I helped a little.

yeah currently im working on the pullups to build strength for climb ups
and ive got a decent verticle wall run its just the climb ups are killing me

im taking a break from trying to learn a dash until i can lazy perfectly i did about 50 today on a belly button sized wall and most looked really well
i was also running straight at the wall instead of at an angle

did an hour of wii fit
then did some inverted pull ups and precision jumps to work on specific muscles for climb ups and my jump length and height

for some reason i dont feel like im doing much though my body is tired and that all took up about 3 hours
i might go for a run after i get my room clean

work in 3 1/2  hours so i dont have much more time

i might just run around the neighborhood and just do some urban exploring and experiment a little

diet today:  this morning i had some oatmeal (sugarless) with dried apricots a handfull of pumpkin seeds and a handful of sunflower seeds

for a mid morning snack i had a handful of unsalted nuts and a bannana
for lunch i had 3 slices of sandwhich turkey some grapes and a cup of fat free yogurt

well the run went great some people at the park thought i was crazy when i lazy vaulted the bridge on the playground and was trying to cat balance the monkey bars lol but other than that it went pretty good it helped my overall flow

luckily i did it then because as soon as i finished my shower after ward it started pouring rain

work soon ugh  Tongue
