No one interested in this?
I saw a competition about this on a Chinese television a while ago. Some people were doing about 120 a minute and not all of them are in good form, so total count turned out to be about 105.
I tried this too and got 40 at first then got 60 after a few days, but I think my form isn't always proper, so I would need someone to judge.
Edit: O, I don't think I touched floor on them, for some reason, I can do it with less than one inch from the ground, but as soon as I actually touch it, I stop.
You lack the strength to do them properly as a proper pushup is from the ground.
This is common in things like HSPU, as well, since most people never do them on parallettes. They will be able to do 5-10 HSPU on the ground but as soon as they need to go full ROM they fail.
Work on getting the strength to do them properly, then fix your form!
