For push ups we'll measure what could be considered a "strict" push up which is one "correct" way of doing them. Understand that this is one of hundreds of varieties and is picked for no particular reason other than consistent measure.

Lay flat on the ground. Bring your hands alongside your body (no more than 2" away from either side) up to where your thumbs are closest in line with your nipples. Press up, arms extending fully, no other body part moves or flexes - in other words torso is perfectly rigid and straight. When you touch down everything will still be in alignment.

Measure as many reps as possible in one set - if your body drops to the ground unsupported this is the end of your set. If you rest in either up or down position for more than five seconds this is the end of your set.

---------------------------------------------

FORMAT IT RIGHT GUYS. I'm tired of doing it for you and will not add anyone else.

For example, Mark Toorock - 01-01-08 - 50

I did it twice because I felt I didn't push as far as I could in my first rep.

Set 1
Spencer "Spinja" - 7.17.08 - 30

Set 2
Spencer "Spinja" - 7.17.08 - 20
