Hey guys. I just started for the summer semester at Metro on Auraria Campus downtown, and I have a two-hour break form 12-2 on Tuesdays and Thursdays in between classes... Altough I should do homework, I was hoping to see if anyone wanted to meet up and hit downtown... I don't know the downtown area at all, so this message is basically: If someone will lead, I'll follow...

Yo funny that you posted this today lol!!! Because I have a friend, Noah M. who I just trained with, and actually train with like every day, and he is at Auraria Campus right in a class and he said he was going to train some flips on the campus when he gets out at 2 today and will train then. Give him a call when he gets out at 2. His cell is 19258760368. (Weird, ya) Roll Eyes

I was a little too late inreading this message... My bad.. funny you should mention flips because that's something I want to work on as well (I'll give you a more in depth reason IRL)... why don't we set something up for Tuesday from 12-2:30? (My first class gets out at 12:10 and my second class starts at 2:55) I'm pretty much free the whole time, and there is one spot by the health center I want to look at a little more closely... Tongue talk to you later...

You should get in touch with Matt Marshall as well. He is taking classes at Metro this summer so he will be around there a lot. I will tell him to check on here.

its really cool to have more people in the auraria campus area.  be wary of the penisfaced auraria police though.  they dont know exactly whats up with us yet so they act in ignorance and fear.  if you would like to get together and train gimme a private message on here or an email at kannagisai@yahoo.com.

I was down there the other day and found this flip that was off the charts! it's about a 6 foot wall with a nice grassy landing, it's kinda at the northern tip of the campus... sooo if any one know what I'm talking about give me a holler back! or I'll just have to set up a jam with you guys and show you myself  Wink

If you guys decide to set up a jam at Auraria, I'm in... my best times are Tues/Thurs at noon-2:30 or after 8... I kind of have a retarded schedule... but I won't be able to do anything the week of 6/30.. I have a new job and therefore job training (ugh), but let me know when you guys want to jam....

Yo Ryan, did Matt ever get the METRO board of directors to legalize training on the campus? Otherwise I assume it is still illegal.

For anyone who doesn't know I was with Matt Marshall along with 'December' training and they said it was illegal to be "Urban Stunting" anywhere on the campus. Next time they catch me I will be sent to jail they said! Tongue Roll Eyes

I'm working on that, actually... I've been running around the offices on-campus to get some answers on how we can get ACPD off our backs on that.. I even asked some cops, myself... "It seems to me like activities of that type are just out of the ordinary, and to do out-of-the-ordinary things on campus, you need to start a recreational activity that involves sponsorship..." and blah blah blah.... I'm working through the logistics of it all (I have a few good counter-examples to the main reason people don't acknowledge our activity) but I'm currently waiting for a callback from the Metro Athletics Dept.... The main reason I want to meet some people on campus is because A)I want to meet other traceurs and B) we have the whole downtown region within walking (or should I say running) distance...

I'm sensing some changes at Auraria within the next year or so, we just need more MSCD, CCD, and UCD students to help us out. If we start an official 'parkour club' than we'll have no problem practicing on campus anywhere, anytime. "We're just practicing for the club, like a track runner runs on the field." Again, I'm trying to handle the logistics.....
