I would feel sorry for any sucka who tried to steal my identity LOL

i've got no credit, no credit cards, no bank accounts.. nothing.. and if you tried to assume my identity, the government would probably watch you for the rest of your life because I'm a white American Muslim LOL

Yeah, I was a gamer for years, and I can tell you, when people use an alias, it becomes much more impersonal, and it allows your brain to shape whatever for to the name. If someone goes by "DarkSoldier" and is an idiot, your brain associates that name with an idiot, it matches an identity. However, if "Dark Soldier" is actually "Benjamin Rochester" all of a sudden it's an identity that holds it's own.

I've always believed this, so I have a nickname (Feng) so that people can remember something unique, but everyone calls me Adam, and I never use Feng. I use McC because nobody wants to spell, pronounce, or read "McClellan".

Very good idea.

I can see both sides of the "argument" here - Parkour grew up on the internet where handles are very common - so I never minded going by a nickname - personally I never used mine to hide, and my real name is very much out there - as are my phone number and address - I personally prefer it that way. Yeah, I get a few weird phone calls every now and then, but Freestylefox isn't so bad when you get used to him Tongue Tongue

Calls from Fox are actually comforting after a while. Its the rest of us from Indiana who you have to worry about. Wink

Miss Tanya Mae, now and forever... unless I suffer some sort of severe head trauma which causes me to decide to marry, but that's only a slight change.

Well, my first name is near impossible to pronounce correctly, so I've taken the extra step of adding instructions.

My main concern, which I discussed with Mohammad at PK Gen, is that there are things you're open about to your friends, but that you don't want a potential employer finding out about.  So I definitely see the role of internet handles.  Regardless, I think it's a great idea to add this transparency to the community.  In the age of anonymous, it's a relief to see a group of people take responsibility for their online actions.

When I try to view my profile, I get this message in the top right corner:

"Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 77824 bytes) in /home/apkadmin/public_html/mambots/content/mosemailcloak.php on line 133"

..and the rest of the page is blank. The same thing happens when trying to view anyone else's profile as well.
