I was trying to think of everything I had ever posted. After removing four words from one training journal entry, and a non-parkour video from another training journal entry, I'm happy.  Grin

wow, this is cool. it's like getting to know everybody all over again, only for real =)

This should certainly reduce the confusion when we meet each other face to face at national jams. I could see this also working to bring the community closer together, creating stronger bonds between traceurs all over the place. It sets a good example too. Besides, telling the truth rules.

I've gone by Happydud on the internet for about 9 years. There's two of us. Me, and some really super creepy 35 year old guy from Montana who posts on dating websites all the time...

Yeah, sure Zac...  And how would you know about this "other" Happydud unless you frequented these dating sites yourself? Sarcasm - Akh I gotta remember this line for the next time I'm caught...  I mean, the next time I find a really super creepy 35 year old guy from Montana using my handle on dating sites...  Tongue

This is a really great idea. Except one thing. If you don't include your former name in your new name, then how will people know you except by your pic, and most are of bunnies now anyway.

sorry i use mac, no printscreen button.
anyways on the forum click profile. in the profile section go to account related settings. now you won't be able to change your "username" which you showed in your picture. you can however change your display name which appears right under it with the title NAME and the subtext "This is the display name people will see."

is your looking for the account settings link its on the left hand side of the screen

go to www.americanparkour.com

go to top of page and click on forum

click on profile button

go to the left and click on account related settings

if you want to put your nickname under your avatar, click on forum profile information and type it in the box that says personal text.

or look in my original post on e page one for directions on how to do this Smiley

Muhammad - I agree with all the points listed - but I have to say "It CAN" instead of "it will" - people who are not accountable under a nickname do not instantly become accountable under their real name - there will be trolls, and there will be argumentative, and quick judging, and people who speak of things they know not - unfortunately this is the way of the world and not just the internet.

Hopefully this will improve all of those things, but I don't think it will fix them entirely Smiley

yeah, i just copied and pasted that list from another forum totally unrelated to parkour, because some of the points there seemed like they could really be applied here too.

Yes there is. I use a Mac as well.

Command-Shift-3
Command-Shift-4

Command-Shift-3 takes a picture of the entire screen. Command-Shift-4 takes a picture of part of the screen.
