For a long time we've had rules about not posting for commercial products and ventures in our forums, and certainly this has been a disappointment to people who had great products or services they want to offer to the Parkour community. As American Parkour is currently the most visited Parkour website (Alexa.com) it is the best way to reach the Parkour community, not on ly in America, but in the other 130 countries around the world we get visitors from.

The solution is the "Marketplace" - an area of the forums where people know very clearly that posts are paid advertisements for products, services, or items for sale (classifieds). We haven't figured out all the rules yet as this is a first for us, so forgive any hiccups we have, but we'll post rules as soon as we think of them. The forums will be read only, with special permission required to post, please email m2@americanparkour.com if you have something you'd like to post.

You can also email for advertising elsewhere on our site, we have a complete marketing pack that can be sent out to serious inquirers, ads can be placed on a single page or a group of pages in a specific category.

This is a nice idea. I think with strict moderation it will work. I'm sure you already thought of this, but, Mr. Muse asked me to mention that APK be sure to disclaim very clearly and obviously that "products and services in the Marketplace are not endorsed by APK" or some such. Just fulfilling the Mister's request. Smiley

Good call for Mr. Muse Smiley
We'll get it worked out, there should be quite a bit of regulation to this. Make it look more like a shopping mall, rather than a bazaar Wink

Aye, it does. So if you don't want to watch the commercials, you can always change the channel to something you do want to watch; e.g. parkour and freerunning, training advice, etc. Smiley
