American Parkour

I saw this commercial recently for a sales event Mazda is holding called the "10 Car Dash" model year closeout. There are 10 Mazda models lined up in a row, and a guy jumps on one and leaps across the 10 cars. He's later joined by a black man who's apparently chasing him. He flips and twists around on the tops of the cars before they finally both jump off and run away.

They didn't say who they were, but they look so much like David Belle and Sébastian Foucan that I doubt I'm mistaken (plus, the black man does more flips and tricks than the other guy, so I assume he's the free-running Foucan). I couldn't find a video of the commercial, though, to confirm my assumption.

Mazda is pretty cool, though, and this seems like the sort of thing they would try to do...  ::)

I'm on vacation in palmdale, ca and I just saw a Mazda commercial that heavily featured parkour, I was just wondering if anyone else saw this.

My mom and dad and... grandma saw it like yesterday, but I wasn't there... I'll have to watch for it.

It's not David and Sebastian.  I just saw it.  Dunno who it is though.

It came on here and was followed by a snickers commercial with lots of PK.  This stuff is getting huge!

It may be the two guys from UF that did the fake David and Seb interview.

It wasn't them.

One was latino and the other was white.  I still dunno who they are though.

I know the Mazda commercial you are talking about.  It is not exactly team tempest.  It is David Lavera and Victor.  I believe there was also a double used for the commercial.  Victor and the double are involved with team tempest but David LaVera is not part of team tempest.  There are different commercials for the 10 Car Dash so keep your eye out, they are awesome!

Ha I just saw a banner ad for this on a local website and my parkour sense went off. There's a TV commercial too? I'll have to keep an eye out.

I saw the commercial, pretty cool stuff a lot of very nice FR. I couldnt see who they were but very far from looking like DB or SF though.

I was walking around campus one time and saw someone I didn't know looking at a railing weird and thought to myself "I bet he's trying to do parkour" like five seconds before he monkeyed over the railing.  :P

There is only 2 people in it. Unless they switch off course.

Gabe is Victor's double.

I dont think Victor needs a double, and they are also very diff. Are you sure about this?

I walked in the back room at work the other day, saw it, and made a scene. Luckily, no one was in the store to see it, other than the employees.

I'm going to mosey over to the Mazda dealership by my house and see it they'll give me a car if I do parkour. ;)

LoL..  How could you mistake them for David and Seb?  NOTHING alike.

I saw it while I was in the Bahamas, and I knew who they were immediately by the way they moved, even if I couldn't make out who was who..  "Tempest."  Is one of them PD?  Anyone know?

Haha my dad asked me about this and when I started watching I was like hey thats victor, and my dads like how you can you tell you can't see his face.  You just know.

Yeah, I was jsut asking if he was in the commercial or not, because one of the guys looks pretty similar and moves in that familiar way.  (But all the Tempest guys pretty much move the same way.. one of those things that actually makes them seem like a cohesive team).

It is David LaVera (one wearing the greyish shorts) and Victor.  Also Gabe was Victors double.  David LaVera is not part of team tempest.  You can see David LaVera by typing in his name and he is also seen in a lot of general free running videos.  Victor and Gabe are part of team tempest.

lol I was getting a bagel at dunkin donuts and I did a wall spin on my car, then someone asked me if I was going to be in a Mazda ad.  ;D

I came into work with grass on my back and proceded to explain to my boss about parkour & how I was training for the manpower gap.
He then asked me if he was going to see me jumping over cars in the parking lot and told me he saw these commercials.  :P

Has anybody thought of contacting a local mazda dealer to see if they would want some local free runners to help attract attention to their business. I think I'm going to try it with my stunt team, just to see if they would want to use us to relate to their commerical and attract more business.
